"Bloody hell love, I don't have to learn to play the trumpet now I've got lung cancer, do I?" The above was a quip made by my husband Simon in response to my telling him I'd found some useful information on the Roy Castle website Simon's battle with lung cancer was almost over by the time we knew he had the disease; he lived for only 10 weeks after his diagnosis, aged just 44. His positivity through those last few weeks of his life was astounding, and he remained the wonderful, funny and rock-solidman we had always known and relied upon. On behalf of Patti, Chris, Tom, Joe, Brian and Zena, we thank you for any contribution you can make to Simon's Tribute fund, and we passionately hope that money raised will ultimately lead to better screening and earlier diagnostic tools, as well as treatments for lungcancer, which will prevent other families going through the devastation and heartache we feel at losing him.
